No matter where you go in Prince William County, everyone has heard of Rebecca Barnes. What’s interesting is what you hear – some know her as a volunteer with the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department, others know her as the publisher of Prince William Living, and still others know her as a life-long Prince William County resident and graduate of Gar-Field High School. But no matter where they know her from, the one thing you hear time and time again is that she’s always working to help other people in the community. Last year, Rebecca was diagnosed with breast cancer. This year, she underwent treatment and is cancer-free but has an insurmountable debt of medical expenses. Let’s all return the favor and help Rebecca put her cancer struggle behind her. These custom candles, created by Shining Sol, are a tribute to Rebecca and the mark she has made on us all. Please consider buying a set for yourself or a friend, and please make sure that you or the women in your life are getting their regular mammograms. They save lives – including Rebecca’s.
